1) Do I need planning?
For most garden buildings planning permission will not be nessecary, however if your home falls within a
conservation area, planning permission will need to be granted.
2) Can my timber building be relocated?
Yes, our timber buildings if required can be moved to a new location. Our garden buildings have been built
to such a high standard, we are confident that it would hold its value if you were to sell your home.
3) How long will our building take to construct?
Because your timber building is manufactuered on our site in Essex to your specification, this enables us
to cut down on the installation time which is generally between 3-5 days depending on size.
4) Can I view any timber buildings?
We have upto 13 timber buildings on display at our site as well as a large potfolio of garden buildings,

5) What is the life expectancy of our building?
There are a number of factors to take into account, however treated and maintained correctly your building
should last in excess of 20 years.
6) I've ordered my timber building, what happens next?
You will first get an expected delivery date from the team at head office who will also help answer any
questions you may have during the construction stage, then a date for the installation of your base will be confirmed.
7 )Plumbing and Electrics
On completion of your timber building, our plumbing and electrical contractors can then work with on the
location of your sockets, heaters and plumbing. A full test will take place prior to completion.
Construction of your Garden Building
Once the team at Essex Timber Buildings have installed your base they can then start assembling
your timber building. A member of the team will liase with you every step of the way, keeping you fully aware of the
estimated completion date. Once your building is complete, you and the team supervisor will work through any snagging list
ensuring when we finally hand it over everything is exactly how you want it.
